Fanatec Advanced Paddle Module

“The paddles have magnets housed in the frame to give that satisfying click and an authentic feel rather than the normal spring operated mechanism”

Along with the recent delivery of the Podium Hub came the Fanatec Podium Advanced Paddle Module. This is another product I wanted to own for some time now. With these paddles fitted to the podium hub I can now run pretty much any after market rim.

So similar to my podium hub post, I shall keep this short ready for the detailed review of both products at a later date.

Upon opening the box you are pleasantly greeted with a lovely set of carbon paddles of varying sizes and shapes to attach to the paddle module.

There are two sets of paddles for each mounting point. The larger ones with + and – being geared towards larger wheels where your gear shifter paddles require less reach. And the smaller being simply for smaller wheels. The remaining two sets are for the button / paddle above the gear shifter and can be used for things like DRS or something similar.
The two lower gold paddles are pre attached and these are analogue switches which can be assigned for clutch / clutch bite point, brake and throttle or just mappable axis.
all of the paddles have magnets housed in the frame to give that satisfying click and an authentic feel rather than the normal spring operated mechanism.

I have since attached these to my Podium hub and have been putting it through its paces. I shall return for a combined review which includes the Fanatec Podium hub and Advanced Paddle Module. In the mean time if you can’t wait for that review then go check them out over at:
